A typical flight is scheduled in the early morning i.e. Sunrise , with flights commencing soon after dawn. The exact start time varies depending on the season and will be nominated when you make your booking. The Pilot will reconfirm with you between 7 pm and 8 pm the day prior to your flight. Generally the arrival time at the launching point is 0630am.

The Deep South of Sri Lanka may be one of the world’s best locations (amongst the top two or three) for watching Blue Whales and Sperm Whales. Two of the most sought after marine mammals. In fact for seeing both Sperm and Blue Whales together, it may even turn out to be the best location in the world. Whale and dolphin watching is a seasonal activity in Sri Lanka, available on the west coast in locations from Kalpitiya and along the south coast from November to March while the east coast off Trincomalee is preferable from June to September. Mirissa Water Sports is a charitable organisation helping to generate employment for the youth from the tsunami affected coastal areas. Mirissa Water Sports is based in Mirissa harbour, a beautiful and quiet fishing village in the South of Sri Lanka. Mirissa is reported to have the prettiest beach on the South coast. With clean sand, calm water and safe swimming. It is 40 minutes away from Galle on the southern tip of the island (Latitude 5° 58´ N; Longitude 80° 26´ E).

Morning session will be start at 6.30am and normally total trip duration is 3.5 hours or 4 hours, it will depend on sea condition. Boat has roof, seats, and toilet facilities, life raft jackets, life rings and communication equipments. Boat captain and crew have professional qualifications and more than four years sea going experience. Boats are specially design for tourism and it only use for tourist purpose. Boats are registered as ships under (under Sri Lanka flag) Ministry of Ports and Aviation. (Merchant Shipping Division) and all passengers are on the boat insured. During the trip you will be provided with mineral water and snack.

This activity is great fun for first timers and experts alike, with a wide range and grading of rapids on some of Sri Lanka’s more turbulent waters such as the Kelani River. You will also visit Kitulgala up in the hill country. The small Kelani River community of Kitulgala made its mark on the map when it became the site of filming for the famous 1957 Oscar-winning film ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’.

The Kitulgala run is 6.5 km in length and takes about 90 minutes to complete. It rates between grades 2 and 3 and there are seven rapids to tackle, each with their own unique names. On a run down the river you run into the likes of Virgin’s Breast, Butter Crunch, Killer Fall and the Rib Cage. As the names suggest, they each have their own distinct character.
